Death Of Android !
I am personally a huge fan of android because
of its features and flexibility. As we all know the problem with android is
lack of updates. The problem is not with Android, but with large number of
companies using it. The companies keep releasing large number of phones. At
least three new phones are launched in a week. They release the phones and no
longer care about it until it’s a flagship phone. So the end users will not be
getting any updates, while Google will keep launching new versions every year.
Well, you might say that one can
unlock the boot loader and can flash a new custom ROM. Hey..! But let’s be
real. People are not gonna do that until they are geeky or a tech savvy.
THINGS THAT GOOGLE HAS DONE TO SOLVE
THE PROBLEM:
solve the problem. The android framework has been modified so that the OEM’s (Original Equipment Manufacturers) can release the updates without much hassle. But from my knowledge I have observed that out
of 100 devices only 5-6 devices have
support for project treble. But that’s not we want.
2) Android GO: Google has taken a step further and has released Android GO
for very low end devices (1.5 GB of RAM). But the problem with this is that
many of the applications are not compatible. Google can’t make each and every
application compatible right..! The developers should do it. But it seems like
no one is interested.
Well,
Now I think that Google has done everything to solve the problem. If I was
given this I would definitely quit. But Google hasn’t. LOL, it can’t because
it’s such a large company with the brilliant minds. So they are planning
something different this time. What’s that?
THE FUCSHIA OS (Death of Android)
Yes, this is the project that describes the title. It may
take some time (approx. 3-5 years) to come into action. It is the revamped
version of android with new look and features (and obviously better updates). It
is supposed to have a simple User Interface with many AI and Machine Learning
features. Google has already released its own mobile UI framework Flutter to
develop apps. Likewise, most of the apps you see in Fuchsia will be powered by
flutter. Fuchsia is also going to replace Chrome OS (which runs on laptop and
PC’s).We may see new announcements of Fuchsia in further years.
Finally it’s a good move by Google
and let’s hope that it becomes a huge success.
